Spring 2026 Enrollment Timeline

September & October

	*Entering New (and Transfer) Students*	*Currently Enrolled/Returning Students*
Intent to Enroll & Deposit	Beacon continues to accept students for the Spring 2026 (on-campus) and Spring 2026 Foundations (remote-delivery) semesters. Accepted students should submit their Intent to Enroll & $525 nonrefundable deposits online at https://www.beaconcollege.edu/admissions-aid/intent-to-enroll-form/	Currently enrolled students in good standing with the college do not need to submit an enrollment deposit to secure their space from semester-to-semester. Should a student withdraw, take a leave of absence, or fail to remain in good-standing, a deposit will be required to secure their space.
FAFSA & Scholarship/Award Notifications	Newly accepted and deposited Spring 2026 candidates with a *2025-2026 FAFSA* on file will receive notification of official financial aid offers and scholarship awards. For students who’ve indicated no intention of applying for federal, state, or institutional need-based funds through the 2025-2026 FAFSA, merit-based options will be sent via email. All students are encouraged to file a 2025-2026 FAFSA (www.studentaid.gov) for full consideration of any and all financial aid options available. Students and parents can register for a one-on-one advising session if needed at www.beaconcollege.edu/schedule	Because currently awarded students are awarded financial aid eligibility for the full academic year, no further next steps are required of *most* federal, state, and institutional aid options as long as the student remains in good standing, full-time enrolled, residing on-campus, etc. If additional documentation is needed for currently enrolled students, financial aid will connect with them one-on-one throughout the Fall months. Students receiving Vocational Rehabilitation should connect with their assigned VR counselor regarding next steps to secure Authorizations to Fund for the upcoming Spring 2026 term. Once received, the student’s Spring awards will be adjusted from earlier provided estimates.
Housing	New students with deposits on file will be granted access to the online New Student Housing Application beginning October 27. New students who plan to commute will be required to complete the application and indicate their off-campus intentions as well as any meal plan preferences.

November

Portal Access	New students who’ve submitted their intent to enroll & nonrefundable deposits ($525) will receive access and a temporary password to their MyBeacon (student) portal. Students are encouraged to log in, reset their passwords, and complete the online FERPA which creates *separate portal access* to parents/guardians. It's required that students log in *FIRST* then invite parents/guardians via the online FERPA permissions.	Currently enrolled students in good standing with the college do not need to submit an enrollment deposit to secure their space from semester-to-semester. Should a student withdraw, take a leave of absence, or fail to remain in good-standing, a deposit will be required to secure their space.
Registration	Newly deposited students will be preliminarily registered for Spring 2026 courses starting November 20. It’s important to remember course registration is an *on-going* process and will continue to happen throughout the months of December and January.	Spring 2026 Course Registration opens for currently enrolled students the week of November 10-14. Students will meet with their academic advisor/learning specialist to determine schedules for the upcoming term. Students with a financial “HOLD” on their accounts must have payments made in full by November 4; failure to comply may delay registration and/or result in a delay of degree completion.
Housing	New students with deposits on file will be granted access to the online New Student Housing Application throughout the month of November. New students who plan to commute will be required to complete the application and indicate their off-campus intentions as well as any meal plan preferences. Remember, there are a limited number of single-spaces available each term and they are assigned on a *first-come, first-serve* basis! More information on housing options and costs can be found online at https://www.beaconcollege.edu/student-life/housing/ New students with specific housing questions or concerns should contact the housing office at housing@beaconcollege.edu	For currently enrolled students, Spring 2026 Housing Applications are due on November 14. Students should stop by the housing office if they have any questions or concerns.
Health Insurance Waiver	The Student Health Insurance (“Wellfleet”) opt-out waiver is available after November 20 for incoming new or returning students from leave-of-absence. Students must create an account with Wellfleet and “waive” the insurance requirement if they have existing coverage elsewhere to avoid charges. Students should complete the form until they receive a *confirmation code.* Failure to waive the insurance will result in the annual fee being applied to your spring 2026 billing statement ($2,374). New Student Orientation	Incoming students with deposits on file can participate in pre-enrollment (virtual) activities and onboarding beginning on January 8. Notifications will be issued from Student Life in December with instructions on how to register/participate. Students new to Beacon in Spring 2026 are welcomed to campus for check-in and orientation on January 16, 2026. Orientation continues until classes begin on Tuesday, January 20. Parents are encouraged, though not required, to attend Parent Orientation Friday, January 16 and Saturday, January 17. Details will be available online as the events nears.	All returning students must complete check-in on campus for the spring 2026 semester on January 17 & 18. Please note: commuter students who live off campus are still required to check in. All returning students should complete this short registration form so that we have an idea of when to expect you.
Add/Drop Timelines	The add/drop period for the Spring 2026 semester ends on January 27. All Veterans’ benefits will be certified through the federal system (typical processing time is 30-days) and Spring 2026 loan disbursements will begin shortly after this date (disbursements will be ongoing throughout the remainder of the Spring 2026 term). Students can log into their MyBeacon portals to view a finalized billing statement if needed. Note: Students who *drop* below full-time (12-credits per term) or are living off-campus jeopardize their original financial aid awards and may receive notification of adjusted scholarships and awards via email.
